Description
A month ago I was invited to participate in a toy customization show for B.B.Birdy [link]
I was given a blank, and was free to do whatever I wanted to do with it. (Like Toy2r's "Qeedraphonic" show)
The exhibition show will be held in Chicago (Rotofugi) March 6-April 5/05, L.A (Munkyking) May1-31/05, and Taiwan,Taipei Toys festival (announce after Agust 2004). The gallery event will be displayed in each location for 1 months.
The show features tons of amazing artists from around the world, and should be amazing.
This is my contribution to the show, and I guess my goal was to transpose the themes I regularly use onto the toy.
hope you like it.
Luke
NOTEL:
I've been reading your comments, and I'm under the impresion that some of you have some questions concerning the piece. here's what I can say.
They toy itself is NOT my design. It was created by a toy company from Hong Kong called Funny Club.
A bunch of different artists were handed blank versions of the toy with instructions to do whatever we wanted to them.
To see another exaple, here's a link to my friend Joe Ledbetters customised BB Birdy: [link]
I think his customization is awesome.
